Art, Science, and Design Center

The state of art Art, Science and Design Center will serve Secondary students in grades 6 to 12, providing them with unlimited opportunities to connect the disciplines of art, design technology and science.

Our science facilities will include two labs for both physics and chemistry, three biology labs and a senior project lab, as well as a lower-level greenhouse and an area for constructing robots. Art classes will be held in an airy open loft space with abundant natural light.

Students will have the space necessary to construct large-scale projects and work with a variety of media.

The media lab will feature advanced programming capabilities, helping our students develop Computer Aided Design (CAD) skills and other forms of technical expertise. We will also take advantage of distance learning initiatives to partner with other IB schools so that AIS students can work with peers across the globe. Technology will be integrated throughout the three-floor, 32,000 square-foot facility. The ASD will be an integral part of campus life, promoting conversations between academic disciplines and acting as a whole-school gathering space.

After we build this new facility, science, art and design will be widely recognized to be among Atlanta International School's many strengths - demonstrating how much we value these subjects as key components of our well-rounded IB curriculum.
