Around Atlanta
On Wednesday, October 5, Around Atlanta will visit historic Roswell, Georgia. Roswell began as a mill town on the Chattahoochee River in the 1830s, and we will take a guided walking tour of the historic center. Then we will take a guided tour of the 1845 Smith Plantation, located a few blocks from the historic town square.
We will meet at AIS, in front of the main entrance, after morning car pool, between 8:15 and 8:45. We will the carpool to Roswell, have coffee there, take our tours, and have lunch in Roswell. If you want to join us for just part of this schedule, that’s fine.
The cost is $5 for the town tour and $6 for the house tour. R.S.V.P. to Laurie Martin at woodrowway@yahoo.com.
