Parent Organization News

I hope you had the chance to join our community for the annual Family Picnic and Faculty vs. Parents soccer championship on September 17. Our parents’ team (which, it must be said, had the benefit of many more players!) was led to victory by team captain Eric Hartz.

Our appreciation goes out to all the players, to the many of you who prepared and brought delicious food for the buffet, to AIS Trustee Axel Leblois for presenting the championship trophy, and particularly to parent Christina Whitney, who organized all the day’s activities and volunteers so well!

The Parent Organization’s next Council meeting (open to all parents) will be at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4. (Please note: this is a new date added to calendar.) Later this month, we hope that everyone will come out on Sunday, October 30 for our wonderful fall festival, WorldFest. If you are new to our school this year, you are in for quite a treat!

Finally, please take some time to look through the many volunteer opportunities available for parents in the column by Amy Rotival: AIS needs you! By volunteering even a few hours, you will learn more about how AIS works, show your child(ren) that you value their school and enlarge your own circle of friends.
